Mr. Danny Clifton Wheeler, 69, of 80 East Main Street, Kingston passed away Saturday (November 9, 2013) surrounded by his loving family in his childhood home.

Mr. Wheeler was born in Kingston, Georgia, September 13, 1944, son of the late Joseph Lorenzo Wheeler and Ida Lorena Harris Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed woodwork, golfing and hunting, but mainly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe Frank Wheeler.

He is survived by his son, Chris Wheeler of Adairsville; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Dede and Matt Long of Chicago, IL and Brandi and Darin Boswell of Adairsville;7 grandchildren, Kyle Nally, Cody Nally, Cole Nally, Kade Nally, Canon Wheeler, Catherine Wheeler, and Sydney Long; 2 brothers, Billy Wheeler of Kingston and Micky Wheeler of Kennesaw.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 10:30 AM from the original chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. C.E. Wilkey officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery, Canton with full military honors. Pallbearers include Rhett Whitehead, Barry Edwards, Tony Bettis, Stephen Kirby, Jimmy Wheeler, Chuck Adams, and Phillip Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Nally, Cody Nally, Cole Nally, and Canon Wheeler.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the original Barton Funeral Home on the hill in Adairsville.
