Danny L. Wooten

Mr. Danny Lamar Wooten, affectionately known as “Uncle Danny”, age 70, of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 5th Avenue Healthcare, Rome, GA.

He was born in Rome, GA, on December 20, 1955, son of the late Herman and Lillie Mae Price Wooten. Mr. Wooten was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed NASCAR and watching old Westerns. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Larry Wooten, and a nephew, Jason Wooten

Survivors include his two sons, Shane and Dwayne Wooten; a daughter, Michelle Holcombe; several grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Faye Wooten, Gary (Lois) Wooten, and Donnie (Marie) Wooten; two sisters, Glenda Whelchel White, and Darlene Wooten; a special nephew, Dale and Baranda Wooten and a special thanks to Joyce Self; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. The family will receive friends, Sunday, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
