Mr. David Arthur King, JR, age 67, of 313 Holcomb Road, NW Adairsville, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was born in Bartow County, November 20, 1947, son of the late David Arthur King, SR and Clara Irene Harris King. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an outdoorsman, liking fishing and hunting. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sandra King Butterworth.

Survivors include his wife of forty-three, Frances Ann King of Adairsville; son, Gene King of Aragon; daughter and son-in-law, Davita and Christopher Clanton of Adairsville; son-in-law, Kenny Butterworth of Adairsville; grandchildren, Brittany Beach, Caden King, Kynsie King, Audree Clanton, Cody Adams, and Kyle Adams; great-grandson, Dolan Beach; brother, James D. King of Adairsville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Minister Larry Hibberts officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Clanton, Kenny Butterworth, Mike Davis, James King, Frank Davis, John Davis, Joey Beach, Chess Wilson, and Johnny Davis.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. David Arthur King, JR.
