Della McCamy Barrett, age 81, of Bollen Court, Rome, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her residence.

She was born in Henagar, Alabama, July 21, 1933, daughter of the late Robert and Annie Harris McCamy. She was a member at Amazing Grace Baptist Church and retired from Shaw Industries. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Ray Barrett; brother, George, Truman, and Lewis McCamy; sister, Margaret Heard.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Donald and Cora Barrett of Rome and Randy Barrett of Cartersville; daughters and son-in-law, Elaine and Chuck King of Adairsville and Leona Mayo of Adairsville; grandchildren, Mandy Wilson, Daphne Davidson, Andy King, Stephanie Davis, Jonathan Davis, Eric Barrett, Dustin Barrett, Jason Barrett; 12 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Kingston with Rev. George Nicks officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Kingston. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Pallbearers include Andy King, Jonathan Davis, Eric Barrett, Dustin Barrett, Jason Barrett, Chess Wilson, and Tilmon Herod

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
