Mr. Delmas "Rip" Towe, age 64, of White Road, NW, Adairsville, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2014 at the residence.

Mr. Towe was born in Adairsville, October 3, 1949, son of the late Troy and Bessie Jackson Towe. He was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church. Mr. Towe was an avid hunter and devoted Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons fan. He loved spending his time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren. Mr. Towe was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Emory Towe, Harold Towe, and Wilton Towe; 2 sisters, Margie Jackson and Mae Mills.

Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Barbara Towe of Adairsville; children, Jamey and Sket Angland of Plainville, Michael and DeAnn Angland of Cartersville, and Becky Lanier of Calhoun; grandchildren, Zac and Lindsey Lanier, Victoria Reed, Zachary Reed, Lindsey Angland, Brady Angland, Sawyer Angland, Spencer Angland, and Walker Angland; brother, Carl (Diane) Towe of Adairsville; sister, Debra (Noel) Cash of Rome; sister-in-law, Carol Towe of Adairsville; very special aunts, Mary Prince and Ellen Towe; special niece and nephew, Dale and Teresa McClure and dearest friend, Vernon McGinnis; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Towe and Rev. Buddy Bagley officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview cemetery. Pallbearers will include Dale McClure, Jeff Mills, Roger Fletcher, Taylor Fletcher, Ronnie Pittman, and Steve Smith. Honorary pallbearers will include, Jimmy Boyd, Jimmy Wood, Johnny Ward, Mickey Ward, Randy Harris, and Tony Smith.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
