Mrs. Diana Harper Highfield, age 71, of Cass Street, Adairsville, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the residence.

She was born in Etowah County, Alabama, March 18, 1943, daughter of the late William Curtis Harper and Zora Leek Harper. Mrs. Highfield was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed the occasional trip to her niece's swimming pool, loved cooking, and was an avid bird watcher. She cherished her family especially her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Lee Highfield; sisters, Barbara Staten and Kathleen Harper; brother, Jimmy W. Harper.

Survivors include her children, Tracy (David) Allen of Rome, Teresa Allen of Adairsville, Michael ( Kathy) Highfield of Dalton, and Jeffery (Celeste) Highfield of Rome; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Hamilton of Center, AL and Ruth Kennedy of Sylacauga, AL and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens, Calhoun.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
