Obituary

Ms. Marsha Diane Fountain, 62, of Glendale Road, Rome, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, at her residence.

She was born in Rome, GA, November 4, 1952, daughter of the late J. L. and Mattie Lou Jackson Kell. Ms. Fountain was of the Christian faith, a member of the Floyd County Homemakers Club. A devoted grandparent, she was active in her grandchildren's lives and loved spending time with her family. Ms. Fountain was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeremiah Robin Fountain; and a brother, Larry Kell.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Tania Fountain of Rockmart, and Rodney and Michelle Fountain of Cassville; a daughter, Danielle Seal of Rome; a brother, Jimmy Kell of Aiken, SC; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Black of Kingston, and Margie and Glenn Gamble of Rome; 8 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Buddy Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Jody Shelley, Tommy Black, Scottie Sullins, Christian Holmes, Chann Gamble and Avery Eubanks. Honorary pallbearers include Glenn Gamble, Larry Walker, Gene Jackson, and David Wynne.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations to assist with final expenses will be accepted.
