Mr. Donald Anthony Evans, age 76, of Adairsville passed away August 2, 2024, at his residence.

Anthony was born in Cartersville, GA, February 23, 1948, son of the late Donald Abner Evans and Ruby Jones Evans. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest, Billy, and Everett Evans and sisters, Peggy Evans Adcock and Natalie Evans Thurman. He was a member of Glade Baptist Church. Anthony served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his son, John Anthony "Jaie" Evans; granddaughter, Jaliee Alizabeth Evans; nephews, Randy Evans, Stanley Evans, and Lavone Evans; nieces, Deborah Evans Helton, Patricia Evans Law, Pam Thurman Hunt and Sherry Thurman; several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 5:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Don Law officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Randy Evans, Stanley Evans, Lavone Evans, Jason Evans, Josh Evans, and Michael Edwards.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
