Mr. Donald David Hendrix, Sr., age 66, of 50 Old Hall Station Road, Kingston, GA, passed away November 7, 2011 at the residence.
He was born in Brownsville, TN, November 27, 1944, son of the late John William and Vera Morris Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix was a member of Cassville Baptist Church and had retired after 30 years from Atlantic Steel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his farm. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Norma Bing Hendrix of Kingston; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Donald David (Brandi) Hendrix, Jr. of Kingston, Gene Thomas (Judy) Redden of Kingston, and Kevin Charles (Cynthia) Redden of Kingston; a daughter, Lisa Redden Williams; 9 grandchildren, Lindsey Redden, Jeremy(Lauren) Redden, Kyle Redden, Brian Redden, Gayle(Will) Scott, Derek (Brittany) Harrington, Zane (Kendra) Williams, Lane Hendrix, and Colt Hendrix; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and 2 sisters all of Brownsville, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 6:00 PM at Cassville Baptist Church, Cassville, with Rev. Mark Somers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cassville Baptist Church building fund, 1663 Cassville Road, Cassville, Georgia, 30121.
