With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Donna Sue Ledford Green, affectionately known as Nonna, who left this world suddenly but peacefully on September 8. 2025. She was born on February 22, 1949, to Floyd and Flonnie Ledford, and from that day forward carried within her the grace, kindness, and strength that defined her life.

Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy, and her love for them was boundless.

She is survived by her loving children: Jason Lindsey Green of Adairsville, Georgia; Jamie Lynn Grider (Dana) of Fort Payne, Alabama; and Joshua Lanham Green of Adairsville, Georgia. Her legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren: Jared and Stephanie Green, Justin and Brooke Green, Jaxon Green, Haley and Bradley Crowe, Jeb and Jordan Simerly, Isabella Green, and Lenny Green. Donna's joy was multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Sarah Green, Joanie Marie Green, Jasper Simerly, Tenille Crowe, and Jaylee Simerly, each of whom brought her immeasurable pride and delight.

She also leaves behind her brother, Jerry and Mary Ledford, her dear sister, Rita Ledford and Wanda Smith, as well as many precious nieces and nephews who loved her deeply.

Donna's life was a testament to beauty inside and out, to kindness freely given, and to love that knew no limits. Though our hearts ache at her passing, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched and the family she adored.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 2:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Tim Samples officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
