Dorothy (Dotti) Mae Baynes of Cartersville, Georgia and Okatie, South Carolina died in the loving care of her daughter, Diane (Diana) Brown Baynes Padgett and son-in-law George Glenn Padgett, at the age of 88 on 8 February 2021. She is predeceased by her parents, James Marcus Baynes and Nellie Ellen Smith Baynes, five siblings and her beloved grandson, George Wofford (Trey) Brown Baynes III, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and the love of her life, George Wofford Brown, Sr.

After obtaining a GED at 21, Dorothy earned three degrees: Juris Doctorate, Legal Letters Master and Associate Law Health Claims as well as 48 industry educational certificates of achievement. She had a very successful career at ITT Hartford and retired in 1995 after 26 years as Director of Continuous Improvement, an officer with only two above her.
