Mr. Douglas Franklin Scott, Jr., age 59, of Adairsville, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

He was born in Takoma Park, Maryland, on April 7, 1962 to the late Douglas Franklin Scott, Sr. and Shirley Mae Godwin Ledford. He was of the Baptist faith. Doug had a black belt in karate and was gifted with playing the guitar. He had a kind heart and always was willing to help others. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Scott, Sr. and his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Lanier Ledford. niece, Christina Scott Warner

Survivors include his nieces, Tiffany and Kevin Morgan, Heather and Axel Agan, Ashley Wadsworth, and Kaleigh Scott; great nieces and nephews, Kathryn Scott, Mikensey Veitch, Logan Veitch, August Agan, Christene Warner, and Sarah Warner; step sisters , Kim Ledford and Melinda Brown.

A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held at Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Douglas Franklin Scott, Jr.
