Mrs. Edna Jeroane Mathis, age 80, of Adairsville passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, surrounded by loving family.

She was born in Cartersville , Georgia, July 21, 1942 , daughter of the late Charlie M. Hazelwood and Mattie Inez Smith Hazelwood. Mrs. Mathis was also preceded in death by her husband, O. H. Mathis; sons, Kip and Scotty Mathis; sisters, Debra Dabbs, Marie Millsap, Mable Quarles, Syble Chamlee, Evelyn Towe, Helen H. Jones and brother, C. D. Hazelwood. Jeroane enjoyed living a simple life, loved spending time with her family, and watching her favorite shows.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, Luke Jones, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held Satur day, July 23, 2022 , at 1 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Min. Audrey Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends Satur day from 1 1 :00 A M until the hour of the funeral. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. P allbearers include Garrett Worsham, Clark Millsap, Carey Millsap, Craig Millsap, Steve Quarles, Paul Parker, and Chris Wheeler; Honorary pallbearers include Luke Jones, Ronnie Towe, Ricky Towe, and Terry Chamlee
