Mr. Edward "Ed" Bagley, age 73, 11 Jones Street, NW, Cartersville, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center.
He was born in Bartow County, February 12, 1942, son of the late Homer and Ada Bagley. Mr. Bagley attended Oak Grove Baptist Church and was retired from General Motors. He cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed doing his daily scratch offs. An outdoorsman, he liked hunting, fishing and metal detecting for civil war relics. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vivian Adams Bagley; sisters, Grace Mulkey, Dorothy Wilbanks, Easter Flowers, and Pauline Flowers; brothers, Buck Bagley, Junior Bagley and Robert Bagley.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Bagley of Cartersville; daughters, Trina (Doug) Hughes of Trinity, Alabama and Debra Bagley (Jeff Perry) of Cartersville; granddaughters, Deonna (Jason) George, Amy Smith, Ashley Bales, Heather (Jerry) Stephens, 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Mae Brown and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Donnie Summey officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Wilbanks, Jerry Stephens, Todd Adams, Jason George, Jeff Perry, and Robert Bagley. Honorary pallbearer will be Jackie Perry.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
