Mr. Edward "Eddie" Lee Harris , age 77 , of Adairsville , passed away unexpectedly Thurs day evening , October 21 , 2021, at Advent Gordon Hospital .

Mr. Harris was born o n September 12, 194 4, in Rome, Georgia to the late William Edward Harris and Ruby Lee Cornelison Harris. Eddie worked at Robins Air Force Base for over 30 years before retiring . He enjoyed living a simple life, working on cars, and going to the local firing range. H e was preceded in death by h is parent s and son, Kevin Harris .

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Sharl o tte Carney Harris; sister, Glenda Pinkston; and nephews, Scott Pinkston, William Pinkston, and Mark Pinkston.

Funeral services will be held Sun day, October 24 , 2021, at 3 :00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville with family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends S un day from 1:00 PM until 3 :00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
