Mr. Edward Clarence Myers, age 75, of Plantation Road, Adairsville, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at Floyd Medical Center.
He was born in Cornell, New York, July 18, 1938, son of the late Frank Myers and Alberta White Myers. Mr. Myers served in the United States Air Force and retired after 32 years in the United States Air Force Reserve. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Carl Boyd Post #42 American Legion in Cartersville. He enjoyed watching game shows, loved playing with his dogs, and treasured his family. Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his son, John Myers, and two brothers, Paul and Claude Myers.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Patricia Myers of Adairsville; children, Eddie Myers of Taylorsville, Julie McCullough of AL, Joyce Myers of Cartersville, Michael Burdette of Albany, Bonnie Gray of Dallas, GA, Rebecca Moreland of Newnan, William Burdette of Adairsville, Tracy Luna of Tallahassee, FL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Robinson of Bolivar, NY.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Jason Pace officiating.
