Mr. Edwin Fain King, age 87, of Cassville, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Mr. King was born in Rome , Georgia, May 16, 1935 , to the late Donald Pearson King and Blanche Bailey King. Fain was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Cartersville and former member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Adairsville. He loved his family and was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the National Guard, retired from General Electric in Rome , and was the former owner/operator of King Sod Farm in Cassville. In his younger years he enjoyed bird hunting and fishing. After retiring he enjoyed tennis and traveling with his wife. He was preceded in death by his son, Don King; parents, Donald Pearson King and Blanche Bailey King; brothers, D. M. King, Bill King, and Vaughn King.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Gaynelle King; children, Terry and Tisha King, Lynn and Gary Garland, and Ray and Linda King; daughter-in-law, Pam King; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 3:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Reverends Jackie Clayton, David Baker, and Gary Garland officiating. Interment will follow Friday, July 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM from Sunset Memory Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
