Obituary

Mr. Edwin D. Littlefield, 75, of Stone Mill Drive, Cartersville passed away Tuesday (January 10, 2017) at Cartersville Medical Center.

Mr. Littlefield was born in Adairsville, August 24, 1941, son of the late William Landon Littlefield and Lucile Culberson Littlefield. He was the Valedictorian and star student for the Adairsville High School Class of 1959 and graduate of Shorter College. Mr. Littlefield was a biology teacher for the Dalton City School System and later enlisted in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era. During his service he was stationed in Turkey with the rank of Lieutenant. After returning from overseas he became a consultant and retired as an account manager from CarMax. Mr. Littlefield lived in Marietta for many years and was a member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church. He recently attended NorthPointe Church in Adairsville. He was passionate with assisting in mission work in Liberia and enjoyed farming. Mr. Littlefield was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Edward Littlefield.

Survivors include his brothers, Dr. Jerry Littlefield of Rome and Dr. Byron Littlefield and his wife, Dana of Adairsville; nieces and nephews, Laura Aschi, John and Kathy Littlefield, Chris and Johanna Littlefield, Lena Littlefield, and Will Littlefield; great nieces and nephews, Alexander Aschi, Christian Aschi, Dane Littlefield, and Sawyer Littlefield.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at NorthPointe Church with Ministers Jim Pinkard and Michael Tutterow officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville with military honors. Pallbearers will include Richard Nelson, Thomas Moore, Chris Littlefield, Will Littlefield, John Littlefield, Alexander Aschi, Kevin Littlefield, and Forest Boss.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
