Obituary

Mrs. Ellenor "Ellen" Blalock Littlefield, age 91, of 70 Littlefield Road, NW, Adairsville, passed away Friday morning, February 24, 2012, at Gordon Hospital, Calhoun.

She was born February 14, 1921, in Murray County, GA, daughter of the late Horace H. and Arie Dinning Blalock. Mrs. Littlefield was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, had dedicated her life to raising her family as a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening. In death, she is reunited in Heaven with the loved ones gone before her; her husband, Wymon S. Littlefield, two sons, W. Leslie and Joseph W. Littlefield, and two grandchildren, Mark and Angie Rowell.

Survivors include her grandson and his wife, Kevin and Mary Littlefield of Rockmart, along with their children, Scott, Joseph, Lauren, Jessica and Megan; granddaughter, Kim and her husband, Rev. Butch Cole, their children, Cassie, Emily, and Paige, of Adairsville; a granddaughter and her husband, Wendy and Tim Watkins of Calhoun, along with their children, Alena, Ansley, and Ethan; and her youngest granddaughter and her husband, Mindy and David Lindsey of Kennesaw. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Carol, and her husband Fred Rowell of Rockmart.

A celebration of Mrs. Littlefield's life will be held Sunday, February 26, 2012, at 4:00 PM from Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Larry Hibberts, Rev. Larry Hogan, and Rev. Butch Cole officiating. The interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Dale Hogan, Byron Littlefield, Barry Adcock, Ken Dinning, Tim Watkins and David Lindsey. Joe Littlefield and Ethan Watkins will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Ellen Littlefield.
