Obituary

Mr. Ellis Hoyt Bramblett, Sr., age 72, of May Street, Adairsville passed away Monday (September 14, 2015) at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Bramblett was born in Adairsville, Georgia, February 1, 1943 son of the late Lee Ella Fowler. He attended New Life Ministries and retired from Shaw Industries. Mr. Bramblett enjoyed playing or watching golf and casting a fishing rod. If he wasn't at home on his bench under the tree, you could probably find him at a yard sale. An amazing husband, father and Paw-paw, he loved spending every minute of the day with family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Bramblett was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents, Jesse James and Patsy Bramblett.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Rose Bramblett of Adairsville; children, Kimberly and Todd McClure of Adairsville, Ellis and Jill Bramblett of Adairsville, and Stephanie and Bryan Holland of Adairsville; grandchildren, Lyle and Courtney McClure, Autumn and Thomas Baker, Abby McClure, Drake and Sarah Collum, Anna Collum, Bryce Holland and Brock Holland; great-grandchildren, Jax McClure, Cole Baker, and Louella Collum; brothers and sisters, Frank and Carolyn Bramblett, Willard and Hazel Ferguson, Linda Kelly, Johnny and Diane Ferguson; aunt, Louise Millwood and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 3:30 PM from New Life Ministries, Adairsville, with Minister Steve Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Lyle McClure, Thomas Baker, Drake Collum, Bryce Holland, Brock Holland, and James Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandsons, Jax McClure and Cole Baker, nephews, Sol Collum, and Donnie Mealer.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
