Mrs. Elsie Lee Sutton Frix, age 73, of 118 Stoners Chapel Road, Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2011 at Calhoun Health Care.

She was born in Adairsville, GA, June 5, 1937, daughter of the late Doyle H. and Connie Lee Jackson Sutton. She had attended the Adairsville Church of Christ and enjoyed flower gardening, especially roses. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Michael Alan Frix; 2 brothers, Melvin L. Sutton and Charles Hilton Sutton; and a sister, Beatrice Abernathy.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Al and Wanda Frix of Adairsville; a granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Frix of Adairsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Dorothy Sutton of Calhoun; a sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Butch Wilson of Panama City, FL; a sister-in-law, Faye Sutton of Adairsville; a brother-in-law, James Abernathy of Woodstock; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 3:30 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Nephews will serve as pallbearers, while great-nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
