Mrs. Ethel Tidwell Burgess , age 84 , of Carter sville, passed away Mon day morning , October 24 , 2022.

She was born in Cartersville , GA, April 4, 1938, to the late John Richard Tidwell and V S now Godfrey Tidwell . Mrs. Burgess was also preceded in death by her brothers, John Tidwell and Charles Tidwell . She attended New Hope Apostolic Church in Silver Creek. She loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Burgess enjoyed spending time outside with her flowers and plants, an avid reader, phenomenal cook, and a caregiver to many. She will be missed.

Survivors include her children , Ricky Wilkey and wife Connie of Silver Creek, Tammy Pratt of Cartersville, and Shirley Abernathy of Cartersville; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Tidwell and wife, Charlotte of Dalton; Ruth Barnett of Cartersville and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednes day, October 26 , 2022, at 11 :00 A M at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cartersville.
