Mrs. Ethel Adaline "Polly" Marshall, age 83, of 660 Jolly Road, Calhoun, formerly of Adairsville, passed away Thursday morning, February 10, 2011 at Gordon Hospital.

She was born in Gordon County, GA, June 27, 1927, daughter of the late Ernest Aaron and Myrtle Tidmore Parker. Mrs. Marshall was a member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, W. H. Marshall, Jr., 5 brothers, and 6 sisters.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Cline of Adairsville; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey and Sherry Marshall of Calhoun, and Steve and Deborah Marshall of Adairsville; 2 granddaughters, Michelle and Amy Cline; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM from Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. David Baker and Rev. Earl Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Stoner Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include J. R. Parker, Rayden Parker, Howard Cochran, Jr., Jimmy Watkins, Bradley Lanham, and Dillard Abernathy. The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
