Mrs. Eunice Shaw Langley, 79, of Shannon, went to be with her Lord December 9, 2013, at her oldest daughters' residence.
Mrs. Langley was born in Ellijay, Georgia, April 9, 1934, daughter of the late Elisha and Ester Davenport Green. She was of the Church of God faith and enjoyed listening to gospel music. Mrs. Langley loved spending her time with family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Mr. Charlie Shaw; great-grand daughter, Hannah Black; her late husband of thirty-eight years, Eugene Langley.
She is survived by her three children, Charlene Black of Shannon, Lanny Shaw of Fairmount, and Darlene Strickland of AL; 6 grandchildren, Greg Webb, Richard Black, Kim Shaw, Jerimiah Studdard, Crystal Morris, and Rebecca Strickland; several great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Webb and devoted nieces, Mary Johnson and Betty Hardin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Allen Fuller officiating. Private interment will follow in the Blackwood Springs Cemetery, Calhoun. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Heyman Hospice for all their compassion and care.
