Mr. Evan V.L. Fox, age 77, of Old Spring Place Road, White, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Blue Ridge, GA September 18, 1938, son of the late Voyd Fox and Della Long Fox. Mr. Fox was a member at Dewey Baptist Church. If he wasn't gone fishing, he was spending time with his family talking and telling stories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Voyd and Della Fox; brothers, Robert Fox, Claude Fox, Richard Fox, Willie Fox, Bob Fox, and D.W. Fox; sisters, Ruth Farris and Ethel Mae McClure.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Fox of White; children, Becky Baldwin of White, Howard (Angie) Fox of Adairsville, Michelle Thomas of White, Sandra (Jamie) Bunch of Cartersville, Janice (Ray) Carver of Calhoun, Joan (Jamey) Williams of Rydal, Steven (Cindy) Fox of Lee's Summit, MO, and Joshua (Wendy) Fox of Fort Riley, KS; his special girl, Hope Fox; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Ann) Fox of White and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Dewey Baptist Church, White with Rev. Billy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Dewey Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Howard Fox, Steven Fox, Jamey Williams, Joshua Fox, Jason Fox, and Justin Fox. Honorary pallbearers include Devin Cole and Dawson Cole.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Barton Funeral Home.
