Obituary
Mrs. Bertia Evelyn Towe Jarrett, age 84, of 570 Snow Springs Road, Adairsville, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center.
She was born in Adairsville, GA, April 5, 1932, daughter of the late Oscar Anderson and Leila Elberta Davis Towe. Mrs. Jarrett was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Dewitt Jarrett, a son, Phillip Jarrett; and 3 sisters, Gladys Jarrett, Edna Jarrett and Merris Towe.
Survivors include 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kim Jarrett of Adairsville, Stanley Jarrett of Adairsville, and Jerry Jarrett of Adairsville; 7 grandchildren, David Jarrett, Teryn Jarrett, Matt Jarrett, P.J. House, Jessica House, Sydney Jarrett and Lee Webb; 4 great-grandchildren, Harrison Jarrett, Abram Jarrett, Annaleigh Jarrett and Drew House; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Dry Creek Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Sammy Adams and Rev. Larry Towe officiating. Interment will follow in the Dry Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Jarrett's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Evelyn Towe Jarrett.
