Mrs. Evelyn Marie Hughes Lephew, age 69, of Kingston passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born on June 30, 1955, daughter of the late Burley Jackson Hughes and Virgie Gurtrude Whited Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Martin 'Marty" Lephew, son-in-law, Billy Jack Goodwin. Evelyn was of the Baptist faith and worked most of her life as an electrician. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and had the sweetest giving soul. Evelyn will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Amie Lee Goodwin and Mark Allen Lephew and wife Heidi; grandchildren, Gracie Marie Goodwin, Bear Elias Lephew, Seven Odell, and Justice Odell, siblings, Mike Hughes and Jimmy Hughes; best friend, Charlotte Arnesen several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Mr. Brent Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens, Rome. Family will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
