Obituary

Mrs. Evelyn Milford Stafford, 78, of Oakridge Drive, Cartersville, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center.


Mrs. Stafford was born in Pickens County, October 14, 1936, daughter of the late William Henry Milford and Emma Ozelle Cochran Milford. She retired from Shaw Industries. Mrs. Stafford was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cartersville where she sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Turk and Max Milford, son-in-law, Steve R. Henson, and sister-in-law, Norma Milford.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Eugene Stafford of Cartersville, to whom she married on June 4, 1954, daughters and son-in-law, Vanessa and Jimmy Garland of Booneville, KY and Dana Henson of Cartersville, brother, Edwin Milford of Hinton, sister, Wendell Holcomb of Marietta, two grandsons, Billy S. Garland and Todd A. Henson, three great-grandchildren, Lucy Garland, Tatum and Tinley Henson, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Garland officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include Devin Ledford, Greg Milford, Keith Milford, Phillip Holcomb, Ed Carver and Lynn Stone.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
