Obituary

Mrs. Fannie Bell Reece, age 90, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 6, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Calhoun, GA, July 2, 1930, daughter of the late Kimsey Jackson Coker and Jessie Cordelia King Coker. She was a devout Christian and loved her Lord. Mrs. Reece was a life long member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and over the years active in numerous groups and committees. Family was her world. She was a proud mother and granny, who always had a story to tell about her children and grandchildren. Her home was filled with photos of a lifetime of memories that brought her joy and happiness. She loved cooking, baking, and gathering with family and friends as much as possible. She was an amazing quilter, leaving her family many to cherish. Blessed with a green thumb, her yard always displayed the most beautiful flowers gardens for all to enjoy. She touched the lives of many with her kind heart and loving ways. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live in our hearts forever. Mrs. Reece is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Reece; daughter, Brenda Holmes; brothers, Bill, Fred, Marvin, Sherman(Henry), and Oscar (Buck) Coker; and sisters, Ethel Woods, Jessie Peace, and Dora Helton.

Survivors include her loving children, Patsy and Donnie Sutton, Gerald and Patrice Reece. and Donnie and Debbie Reece; grandchildren, Chad Sutton, Corey (Kim) Sutton, Brittany (Will) Harrison, Brandon (Amanda) Reece, April (Todd) Butler, Amber (Jenny) Harris, and Chris (Renae) Holmes; great-grandchildren, Morgan Sutton, Madison Sutton, Emma Sutton, Collin Sutton, Connor Sutton, Camden Harrison, Reece Harrison, Ali Reece, Leah Reece, Mason Reece, London Butler, Jack Harris, Daulton Holmes, and Walker Holmes; great great-granddaughter, Sadie Grace Holmes sister, Betty June Cook and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 2:00pm at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Ministers Larry Hibberts and Kenny Rogers officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Corey Sutton, Chad Sutton, Chris Holmes, Walker Holmes, Daulton Holmes, and Brandon Reece. Honorary pallbearers will be Collin Sutton, Connor Sutton, Mason Reece, Camden Harrison, Jack Harris and the deacons of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Family and friends attending services will be required to wear face mask and observe social distancing.
