Obituary
Mrs. Faye C. Huckaby, age 69, of 291 Old Highway 140, Adairsville, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011, at her residence.
She was born August 28, 1941, in Rome, GA daughter of the late MacDonald and Dewain McIntyre Chesser. She was retired from Harbin Clinic in Rome and was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy J. Huckaby; and a sister, Maxine Chatmon.
Survivors include two sons, Jackie Rogers (Wendy Bagwell) of Cedar Bluff, AL and Jeff (Linda) Rogers of Valdosta, GA; a daughter Ellen (Peter) Rogers of Danville, CA; 4 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday (Aug. 29) at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Huckaby officiating. The interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens, Rome. Pallbearers include Ricky Boswell, Stanley Chesser, Chuck Touchstone, Jack Jenkins, Wesley Willis, and Jason Chatmon. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Boswell, Roger Fletcher, Scott Huckaby, Cliff Fuqua, and Jim Sutherland.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Faye C. Huckaby.
