Mrs. Glenda Faye Morris Jones, affectionately known as “Nannie”, age 78, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, with her loved ones at her side.

Faye was born in Dallas, GA, May 8, 1947, to the late Willie Bell Baxter Morris and Dee Preston “Preacher” Morris. She was also greeted in heaven by her late husband, Gilbert Jones.

Survivors include her beloved sons, Lee Mallet and Spence Mallet; grandchildren, Ridge Mallett, Jesse Mallett (Jessica), Jeremiah Mallett, Joey Mallett (Michayla), Grace Mallet, Ella Mallett, Lauren Plaggemeyer (Cody), Jenni Mallett, and Colt Mallett; and great-grandchildren, Mahala, Wilder, and Brewer Mallett and Ada and Ida Mallett.

Faith, love, and service were the foundation of Faye’s life. A lifelong member of Adairsville Baptist Church, she was a devoted Christian woman who faithfully served her church family for many years by preparing the Wednesday night dinners for services, a ministry she lovingly carried out with a servant’s heart and a desire to care for others. Faye worked as an independent insurance saleswoman, where her kind spirit and warm personality allowed her to touch many lives throughout the years. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society and treasured the friendships and fellowship she found there. Above all else, Faye dearly loved her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her sons and grandchildren, supporting them in every stage of life, and creating lasting memories together. She also found great happiness tending to her flowers and working in her garden, where her gentle and nurturing spirit truly bloomed. Faye will be remembered for her unwavering faith, loving heart, and the countless ways she cared for others.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the Adairsville Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Reverends Eric Sorrell and Michael Hunt officiating. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 12:00 PM until the hour of the funeral. Interment will follow in the Morris Family Cemetery, Powder Springs. Pallbearers will be Ridge Mallett, Jesse Mallett, Colt Mallett, Cody Plaggemeyer, Jordan Coffey, Devin Reed, Jon Nygren, and Tim Warren.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
