Mr. Frank Howard Harris, age 73, of Shaw Road, Adairsville, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Adairsville, GA, on June 17, 1940, son of the late Raymond and Flora Cargile Harris. Mr. Harris was a veteran of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and retired from First Brands in Cartersville after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers, Raymond Harris, Richard Harris, Hugh Harris, Doyle Harris, Carl Harris, Jimmy Harris, Benny Harris; 2 sisters, Mary Smith and Irene "Sis" King.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Doris Lemons Harris of Adairsville; 2 sons and daughters-in-laws, Jeff and Donna Harris of Plainville and Mitchell and Rachel Harris of Calhoun; 4 grandchildren, Cody Harris, Courtney Harris, Thad Harris, and honorary grandson, Ryan Harris; 2 brothers, Alfred and Linda Harris of Adairsville and Bill and Betty Harris of Adairsville; sister, Ella Mae Jackson of Adairsville and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Randy Jackson and Rev. Dutch Scott officiating while Rachel Harris, Presley King, Bruce King, and Gloria Childers provide musical selections. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville with military honors.

Pallbearers include Brad Harris, William Smith, Bo Harris, Ronald Poole, Jerome Poole, and Todd Lemons. The other nephews with serve as honorary pallbearers

The family will receive friends Monday, July 15, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
