Mr. Gary W. Cline, age 67, of Old Field Road, Adairsville, passed away Sunday morning, January 4, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in Floyd County, September 12, 1947, son of the late Lawrence N. Cline and Jimmie Adcock Cline. He was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church. Gary was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother who valued his time spent with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by parents, and brothers, Johnny Cline and Larry Cline.
Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Brenda Cline of Adairsville; daughters, Michelle Cline and Amy Cline both of Adairsville; granddaughters, Kayley Cline and Emily Ledbetter; brothers and sister-in-law, Herman Cline of Adairsville and Ben and Jean Cline of Calhoun; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Henry Tanner of Acworth, and Pam and Ronnie Everett of Adairsville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Pasley and Rev. Keith Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Adairsville with military honors. Pallbearers will be Josh Everett, Cameron Cline, Christopher Edwards, Dustin Edwards, Shon Cline, Chad Cline, Mark Crider, and George Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Pratt, Tony Pratt, Dwight Pratt, Jackie Dinning, Randy Harris, Johnny Bagley, Ronnie Kemp, Ed Womack, and Tony Harris.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Barton Funeral Home.
