Mr. Gary Lee Jordan, age 71, of Kingston, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, at his residence.

He was born in Marietta, Georgia, July 3, 1950, son of the late James Monroe Jordan and Emma Lou Ingram Jordan. Gary was a member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Serving in Vietnam he earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Gary retired from Georgia Power, Plant Bowen, after 34 years. A true family man, he loved having everyone together. He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather "Pop". He was a western enthusiast, collector of antiques, and avid football and baseball fan. Gary will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Jerri Jordan; children, Cameron and Carla Jordan, Preston and Amanda Jordan, and Marissa and Byron Young; grandchildren, Maddie and Noah Miller, Gracie Jordan, Savannah Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Jenna Young, and Brady Young; brother, Charles Jordan and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Kingston Cemetery, Kingston with Military Honors and Reverend Andrew Hackler officiating. Noah Miller, Jody Bragg, Jeremy Bragg, Jordan Holbrook, Larry May, and Byron Young will serve as pallbearers. Jacob Jordan and Brady Young will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Gary Lee Jordan.
