Obituary
Mrs. Geneva Edwards Nation, age 61, of Pleasant Valley Road, Adairsville, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at her residence.
She was born in Cartersville, GA, August 28, 1956, daughter of the late A. L. and Frances Emma Chappell Edwards. She loved being with her family and tending to her flowers. Mrs. Nation never met a stranger, and always greeted you with a smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Leon Edwards.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Nation of Adairsville; three sons, Terry (Quincy) Nation of Adairsville, Chris Nation of Rydal, and Tommy (Hannah) Nation of Rydal; a brother Arthur Edwards; and a granddaughter, Scarlett Emma Nation of Rydal.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 2:00 PM, from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Rick Langston officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville. Pallbearers include Charlie Nation, Josh Edwards, Thomas Ballard, Ray Chappell, Lee Freeman, and Steven Blalock.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made, in Geneva's memory, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
