Ms. Genise Marie Johnson, age 56, of Ranger passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the residence.

She was born in Cartersville, GA, December 1, 1962, daughter of Geneva Childers Hyde and the late Jimmy Hyde. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her father; husband, Cooper Johnson; and the father of her children, Quillian Young.

Survivors include her children, Quillian Lee (Sandy) Young, Barry Young, and Eric (Krystal) Young; mother, Geneva Hyde; grandchildren, Joshua, Thomas, Hunter, Kadence, and Fisher; stepchildren, Louann Mulkey, Charlene Young, Danny Young, Stanley Young, and their families; brothers, Jason Hyde and Dewayne Hyde; sister, Rachel Hyde ; aunts and uncles,  Ralph (Mary) Childers, Jack (Belle) Hyde, Bobby (Ruth) Hyde, Billy Joe Hyde, Helen Roberts, Geraldine Easterwood,and Charles Hyde; special aunt, Carol Ann Hyde and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Reverends Ashley Carver and Isaac Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon
