Obituary
Mr. George H. McGuire, 83, of Joe Frank Harris Parkway, Adairsville passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at the residence.
Mr. McGuire was born in Dahlonega, Georgia, January 23, 1932, son of the late Ralph McGuire and Clara Robinson McGuire. He was of the Methodist faith and was the owner-operator of McGuire Equipment. He enjoyed working on motor homes and tractors, and really loved hiking and traveling with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wesley McGuire.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Evalie W. McGuire of Adairsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Marty and Christine McGuire of Cartersville, Greg and Cynthia McGuire of Adairsville, and Tony and Monica McGuire of Adairsville; grandchildren, David McGuire, Tabitha Jones, Jason and Kristen McGuire, Keisha McGuire and Todd Dutton, Krista and Jeremy Bryant, and Bryson McGuire; great-grandchildren, Lexi Erwin and Sadie McGuire; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pearl McDonald, Anne and Dan Ferrell, Francis and Doug Ferrell, and Edith and Larry Owens; sister-in-law, Ginger McGuire and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Beck officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta. Pallbearers include Jason McGuire, Bryson McGuire, David McGuire, Jeremy Bryant, and Todd Dutton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
