Obituary
Mrs. Gladys Jane Duvall, age 65, of Fulton Road, Kingston, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center.
She was born in Rome, GA, June 30, 1949, daughter of the late Walter Emmett Fincher and Jane Dawson. Mrs. Duvall was of the Holiness Faith and member of the Western Saddle Club and Floyd County Sheriff's Posse. She cherished her time with family, loved horses, and enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Dawson; father and stepmother, Walter Emmett Fincher and Frances Baziel Fincher Boles; son, Charles E. Duvall, Jr.; grandson, J Patrick Crowe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chella and Catherine Duvall, brother-in-law, Hill Herring and sister-in-law Clarsey (Will) Rogers.
Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Charles Duvall of Kingston; daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda (Deron) West, Barbara (Dennis) Farmer, and Melissa (Keith) Crowe all of Kingston; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Charles (Shannon) Duvall of Kingston; grandchildren, Mason Duvall, Preston Crowe, Matthew Duvall, Zack Crowe, Hope West, Katlon Duvall, Brooke Crowe, Logan Gabbard, Dylan Duvall, Haley West, and Kyle Farmer; great-grandson, Levi Crowe; brother, Lloyd Braziel of IN; sisters, Fran (Pope) Jordan of Rome, Ann Herring of Brookhaven, and Cris (Grayland) Abner of IN; brothers-in-law, Malachi (Brenda) Duvall of Kingston and Van (Rita) Duvall of Kingston; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM from Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, Shannon, with Rev. C. E. Wilkey and Rev. Jackie Culberson officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens, Rome. Mason Duvall, Preston Crowe, Matthew Duvall, Zack Crowe, and Jeremy Duvall will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
