Mrs. Glenda Sue Pasley Duvall, age 57, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday evening November 17, 2015 at Floyd Medical Center
Mrs. Duvall was born in Columbus, GA, April 1, 1958, daughter of the late James Loyd Pasley and Clara Allen Pasley. Glenda was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church, where she was the pianist, organist, and back up bass player for thirty-eight years. She learned at a young age to play music and later singing the gospel. A dedicated Christian she loved to serve the Lord and was very active in her church, especially with the youth and Shoe Box Project. Family was very important to Glenda; she cherished every moment spent together. She was out going, enjoyed country music concerts, scrapbooking, and other crafts. She retired after thirty-eight years from United Community Bank of Adairsville. Glenda's huge heart and contagious smile will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dwight Lee Duvall.
She is survived by her son Jonah, whom she cherished completely, and his wife, Shawna Duvall of Adairsville; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Cagle of Shannon; grandchildren, Carson, Cadence, and soon to arrive, Ivus; sister-in-law, Lynn and Felton Floyd of Sugar Valley; brother-in-law, Phillip and Jennifer Duvall of Calhoun; nieces and nephews, Erin Cagle, Emily Cagle, Ethan Cagle, Cameron Abney, James Floyd, Caitlin Gurrier, Samantha Altmann, Paige Duvall, Savannah Duvall, and Zane Duvall; great-niece, Reese James Cagle-Green and her significant other, Dave McHatton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 4:00 PM from Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating and Rev. Michael Hunt having graveside services. The body will lie in state at the church from 3:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Chad West, Kenny Holmes, Ezra Stafford, Dave McHatton, Brandon Evans, and Chris Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Neely and the youth of Oothcalooga Baptist church.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville.
