Mr. Dennis Glenn Pratt, age 78, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at AdventHealth Redmond Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Glenn was born in the Folsom Community on August 19, 1944, to the late Annie Lois Clayton Pratt and Mike Pyron Pratt. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Earl Pratt and Jack Pratt, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha Morris James and Theodore James. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War with the Strategic Air Command (SAC) on the B-52 nuclear bomber. He was member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 245. Glenn helped start the Bartow County Fire Department and served as assistant fire chief for many years. He was also a deputy for the Bartow County Sheriff's Department. When he was younger, he enjoyed working on cars and going to the drag races with his sons. He was a collector of many things but mainly pocket watches, knives and guns. The Pratt family lost a devoted and loving husband, father, and brother; he will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Martha James Pratt; sons, Dwight and wife Sandra and Tony Pratt; brothers, Ovell Pratt and companion Judy Garland Pratt, Douglas Pratt, and Larry Pratt; sister, Darlene Pratt Muse and husband Larry; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Pratt, special niece, Lynn Pratt Ghorley; several nieces and nephews and his little furbaby, Poppy.

Funeral service will be held Thursday April 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Reverends Junior Maney and Jason Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville with military honors. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Muse, Will Muse, JR. Parker, Shane Parker, Cody Parker, and Shae Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Muse, David Ferguson, Raiden Parker, Herman Cline and Jimmy Wood.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
