Obituary

Mrs. Gwendolyn Moss Cobb, age 84, of Adairsville, went to her heavenly home Thursday, December 23, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Pickens County, Georgia, August 2, 1937, daughter of the late Jay Moss and Ora Belle Silvers Moss. She was a member of Ball Creek Baptist Church in Pickens County and a devout Christian. Gwen had an amazing voice and passion for gospel music. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her sisters in the "Moss Trio" singing at numerous churches in the area. She was a true southern lady; elegant, gracious, kind, and caring. She was a phenomenal cook, loved flowers and chocolate, and enjoyed gardening and canning. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, nanny, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of her children, James Richard Croft; son, Danny Croft; and sister, Ann Lee Pace.

She is s urvived by her loving husband of 30 years, Robert Cobb; daughter and son-in-law , Pam and Mitch Jones; grandchildren, Rick (Lindee) Baker, Andy (Cheryl) Baker, Adam (Leslie) Baker, Austin Jones, Jason Croft and Nathan Croft; great-grandchildren, Scarlet t Baker , Kaden Baker, Grace War ner , and Darian Tendick ; great great-grandson, Christian Davis; sisters, Mohee Hodgins and Evelyn Lockhart and several nieces and nephew s ; extra family she was blessed with, son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Ronnie Cobb; grandchildren Lance Hughes, Chad Hughes, Leighann Cobb and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 1:30PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Larry Hibberts, Rev. Gregg Free, and Mr. Wayne Rakestraw officiating. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00AM until 1:30PM at Barton Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Rick Baker, Andy Baker, Adam Baker, Austin Jones, Mitch Jones, Gary Pace, and Randy Pace.
