Obituary
Mr. Harold Willie Earwood, age 84, of Highway 140, Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Earwood was born in Adairsville, Georgia, March 25, 1928, son of the late Clarence Willie Earwood and Lillie Poole Earwood. He was a member of the Adairsville First Christian Church, and had attended Snow Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Earwood was veteran of the U. S. Air Force having retired as a Staff Sergeant after over twenty-five years of service. He had also been employed with the Floyd County Correctional Institute.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bertha Earwood of Adairsville; a son, Jackie Earwood of Adairsville; 2 grandchildren; Jackson Earwood of Rome and Bryann Earwood of Adairsville; a sister, Jeanette Blalock Barton of Adairsville and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Eastview Cemetery, Rome, with full military grave rites. Rev. Jim Martin will officiate. Members of the U. S. Air Force will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
