Mr. James Harry "Horse" Evans, age 62, of White, GA, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 4, 2021,at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was born in Cartersville, Georgia, August 18, 1958, son of Betty Jean Hight Evans and the late John Smith "JS" Evans, Jr. Mr. Evans was of the Baptist Faith and worked as an inspector for the Bartow County Water Department. Harry was a wonderful husband, father, pawpaw, son, and brother. His granddaughter, Taylor "Bug", was the light of his life. He loved watching her play softball and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Angie Garland Evans; sons, Carlos and Kayla Evans and Chris and Penny Evans; granddaughter, Taylor Evans and Jennifer and Govanni Sicairos; great-grandchildren, Jovanna, Javi, and Jay Sicairos; mother, Betty Jean Evans; brothers and sisters, Darlene and Randy Evans, Timothy and Becky Evans, Janice and Ricky Milner, and Mark and Jaye Evans; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Evelyn Garland; brother-in-law, Michael Garland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday , May 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Reverends Andrew Hight, Pete Hight, and Justin Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Faith Tabernacle Church Cemetery, Rydal . Pallbearers will be Keith Payne, Tommy Cox, Bruce Lanning, Chris Crowe, Josh Howard, Robert Maynard, Charlie Kirkpatrick, and Stephen Worley . Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Bartow County Water Department and C. H. Kirkpatrick and Sons.

The family will receive friends Wednes day from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
