Mr. Herman Everett Pruitt, Sr., age 88, of Cartersville passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Herman was born on October 13, 1934, in Coopertown, Tennessee to the late John Gilbert Pruitt and Myrtle May Weaver Pruitt. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Margieree "Babe" Pruitt and Billy Sue Russell; brothers, Hugh Clifton Pruitt, Harold Pruitt and Herbert A. Pruitt, Sr. He was a member of Noah Baptist Church in Centre, Alabama. He was a veteran of United States Air Force and past chaplain for College Park Masonic Lodge. Herman was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Judy Pruitt; son, Herman Everett Pruitt, Jr.; daughter, Rhonda Mays (Terry); grandchildren, Lauren Pruitt, Haden Pruitt, Harrison Pruitt, Whitney Mays, and Kayla Hornung (Shane); great grandchildren, Ava Gail and Brently; his wife's children, Dawn Dill and daughter, Lexus Dill; and Sammy Peavy (Donna) and son Sam Holder.

Honoring Herman's wishes he will be cremated.
