Ms. Hilda Jane Camp, age 77, of Adairsville passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, October 20, 2026 at Rockmart Health: Post Acute Nursing and Rehabiliation.

Ms. Camp was born in Adairsville, Georgia, January 24, 1949, daughter of the late Beatrice “Jack” Higgins Camp and Clifford B. Camp Ms. Camp was also preceded in death her sister, Glenda Marie Camp, sister-in-law, Barbara Camp, and nephew, Alex Dunne.

She is survived by her brother, Lamar Camp; niece, Scarlett Camp Dunne and husband Richard; nephew, Derek Camp and wife Cheryl; great nieces and nephews, Ian Dunne, Ashley Dunne-Smith and husband Tyler, Casey Dunne, Clarke Dunne, Heather Camp and Madison Camp; great great-nephew and niece, Hudson and Milani Smith; aunt, Janelle Alexander; uncle, Max Dutton and several cousins and dear friends.

Hilda Camp was a fiercely independent woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. Truly one of a kind, she loved people and was always happiest visiting with her family and many friends. Hilda was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church. She was a lifelong farmer who took great pride in raising cattle and gardening. In addition to farming, she worked for Bartow County Schools, where she retired after 16 years as a dedicated bus driver. In her free time, Hilda found great joy in treasure hunting, loving nothing more than spending time at yard and estate sales, earning her the unofficial title, “The Dixie Yard Sale Queen”! Her vibrant spirit and kind heart made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM Snow Springs Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Daniel Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Derek Camp, Barry Higgins, Chris Hicks, Byron Edwards, William Smith, and Hamp Alexander, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Camp, Richard Dunne, Steve Camp, Jack Wessel, Max Dutton, Randy Goforth,and Brent Higgins.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
