Hilda Sue Jackson

Mrs. Hilda Sue Pelfrey Jackson, 86, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026, at Gordon Health and Rehab Center, Calhoun.

Hilda was born in Rome, GA, March 9, 1940, daughter of the late Mildred Cochran Pelfrey and James Woodrow Pelfrey. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Kenneth Jackson and son-in-law, Johnny Baker.

Survivors include her beloved children, Steve and Melissa Jackson of Adairsville and Misty Baker of Adairsville; grandchildren, Kandi and Sam Cash, Colt Jackson, Holly and Alex Coker, and Sawyer Jackson; great-grandchildren, Gracie Cash and Charlie Cash, Cade Baker, Hudson Coker, and Addialyn Jackson.

Hilda was a loving mother and grandmother whose family was the greatest joy of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in the love they shared. A faithful member of Adairsville Church on the Square, her faith was an important part of who she was. Hilda also found great happiness working outdoors, especially tending to her beautiful flower garden. For many years, she was the proud owner and operator of Jackson’s Nursery, where she shared her passion for plants and gardening with the community. She also loved sitting on her porch, enjoying the quiet moments while watching the birds. Her gentle spirit, hardworking nature, and love for her family will be cherished in the hearts of the ones who loved her.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Min. Tim Baird officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Steve Jackson, Colt Jackson, Sawyer Jackson, Sam Cash, Alex Coker, Cade Baker, and Hudson Coker.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
