Obituary
Mr. Horace H. Carroll, 85, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning, September 11, 2016 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Born April 16, 1931 in Euharlee GA, he was the son of the late J.B. Carroll and Leola Evans Carroll. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Cozette Carroll; his brothers Floyd, Claude, Stan and Bob Carroll; and his sisters, Lois Littlefield and Sarah Owens.
Mr. Carroll was the owner and operator of Horace Carroll Heating and Air, which he opened in 1972 and continued until his retirement. During his retirement years he enjoyed gardening and driving his tractor, feeding his chickens, and spending time with family, friends and his favorite dog Maxxie.
He is survived by his children Michael H. Carroll, Horace Lance and Candis Carroll of Cartersville GA, and Cathy Carroll Barber of Olympia WA; his grandchildren Austin and Michael Franklin, Matthew and Jacob Barber, and great grandchildren Angel, Penny, Mikey and Savannah Franklin of Olympia WA; his brother Reuben Carroll and sister Jean Hardin ; and stepsons Timothy and Shawn Cole.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 12pm until 2pm at Barton Funeral Home in Adairsville GA. Graveside services will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville GA with Rev. Jackie Wilkey officiating. Pallbearers include Matthew Barber, Jacob Barber, Dustin Ferguson, Jason Miller, Tony Brock, and Anthony Hollis.
