M r s. Idella Williams , age 80 , of Cartersville, passed away peacefully Satur day, May 29 , 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Cartersville, GA, November 20, 194 0 , to late Melvin Charles Mitchell and Ola Mae Sanford Mitchell . Mrs. Williams attended Creekside Fellowship Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was the most important thing to Idella, she loved everyone being together and never missed a weekend breakfast. She enjoyed word puzzles, quilting, being outdoors and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Mitchell and Ola Mae Sanford Mitchell; siblings , Evelyn (Homer) Abernathy, L en nise (Noland) Millsap, Robert (Faye) Mitchell, Charles (Betty) Mitchell, Gene Mitchell, Hollis Mitchell, Cecil Mitchell, and Euel Mitchell.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years , Orville Williams; daughter , Vivian and Freddy Mulkey; grandchildren, Vanessa and Jake Davis, Holly Gayton, and Kevin and Connie Mulkey ; great-grandchildren, Angie and Tye Crow, Trenton Davis, Abby Gayton, Zane Mulkey, Mason Davis, and Ja x on Mulkey; sister-in-law, Mary Cox and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednes day, June 2 , 2021, at 1 :00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Mr. Gene Wood and Pastor Mike Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, Cartersville . Jake Davis, Trenton Davis, Kevin Mulkey, Mark Mitchell, Ben Stiles, and Charlie Stiles will serve as pallbearers. Tommy Millsap and J. C. Millsap will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tues day from 6 :00 PM until 8 :00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
