Mrs. Inez Pittman, 92, of Wilson Street, Adairsville, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at Townsend Park Health and Rehab, Cartersville.

She was born in Bartow County, GA, November 4, 1920, daughter of the late Benjamin and Alice Barnes Towe although she was raised from an infant by the late Newt and Ora Towe after her mother's passing. Mrs. Pittman was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Pittman; daughter, LaJoyce Daniel; 2 brothers, Troy and Floyd Towe; adopted sister and cousin, Jesse Holcomb; half-sister, Rose Sartin; 2 half-brothers, Olin Towe and B.F. Towe.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Pittman of Adairsville; half-sister, Mary Lee Prince of Shannon; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Oothcalooga Baptist Church in Adairsville with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery, Adairsville. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM.

Pallbearers include Brian Towe, Sammy Towe, Danny Holcomb, Chuck Daniel, Mickey Daniel, and Jerry Carter. Honorary pallbearers include, Henry Brookshire, Kenneth Holcomb, Buddy Bagley, Hoyt Campbell, Charles Stanley and Edward Womack.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
