Mr. J.C. Jarrett, age 74, of Kensington Drive, Calhoun, passed away Sunday morning, January 21, 2018, at the residence.
He was born in Rome, GA, May 30, 1943, son of the late Ben J. Jarrett and Grace Jackson Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett was a member of Adairsville First Christian Church. He retired from Lockheed Martin. After retiring he enjoyed going to yard sales and refinishing furniture. He loved his family. J. C. had a heart full of love and compassion, and he loved helping others, always thinking of everyone else before himself.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-five years, Marie Jarrett of Calhoun; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ricky Boswell of Calhoun; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Kacee Jarrett of Calhoun; brothers, Larry and Evelyn Jarrett of Adairsville and Stanley and Holly Jarrett of TN; grandchildren, Tyler and Vicky Boswell, Tanner Boswell, Jaylen Jarrett, and Paxton Jarrett; expecting great-grandson, Ryder Jameason Boswell and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Adairsville First Christian Church with Min. Ron Marks, Mr. Richard Cowart, and Mrs. Sharon Leberman officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery, Calhoun.
Pallbearers include Ronnie Self, Jason Jarrett, Kevin Allen, Jody Jarrett, Terry Sutherland, and Mike Sutherland. Honorary pallbearers include, Brian Cowart, Jeremy Scott, Jimmy Watkins, Sonny Parker, Sean Knight, Cortez Suttles, and Charles Parker.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. J. C. Jarrett.
